So it's the second semester at Stony Brook University, and so far it wasn't a complete bore. FYI: if you don't have a car and if you dont have connections with someone who does AND is willing to drive you around, you're going to be, for the most part, bored to tears on the weekends. So much for being a seawolf.
In any case, I finally went to my first frat/sorority party. All the sisters in Kappa Phi Lambda were nice and welcoming. For once I didn't feel like a complete oddball like from those sisters in my friends' suite. I can't go into too much detail, in risk of incrimanating myself and others, but the music, atmosphere and people almost made me want to pledge. Almost. I'm still on the edge, afterall: how cliche is hazzing during initiations? Even if your group publically denounces it, that doesn't mean that there are unspoken words and hidden acts that go behind closed doors.
